Argenta Oreana Fire Protection District
Cerro Gordo Fire Protection District The Cerro Gordo Fire Protection District came into existence in 1972 when voters in two counties, Piatt and Macon, passed a referendum creating the fire district as a taxing body. It's predecessor was a combination of two organizations, the village government funded and staffed by unpaid volunteers and the Cerro Gordo American Legion Post 117, whose military veteran members provided fire protection in the rural areas on a subscription basis.
Clinton Fire Department According to Clinton history, ?Clinton Fire Company, No. 1, was organized in 1874, with the total number of members of Engine Company 19, Hose Company 20. They have a fine hand engine and 500 feet of hose and hose-cart. The company are all well uniformed and excellently drilled for duty. The treasury is well supplied with funds sufficient to run the organization for a year or more. The engine building is situated in the south-west corner of the Magill block, and is two stories high, 34x66 feet on the ground, and constructed of brick. The first floor is used for engine and hose room, with a portion cut off the north end for the purpose of a calaboose. The upper story is divided into two departments for Firemen's Hall and Council Room.?
Today, The Clinton Fire Department is a city department which contracts with the Clinton Fire Protection District for rural fire protection. We have been recognized as a Nonprofit Organization 501(c)(3) since 2005. Having this status allows us to receive a substantial part of our support from the local government as well as recieve assistance from area residents and organizations.
We operate out of one station that protects a primarily rural area. Covered in the rural area are the villages of Lane and Dewitt, the Clinton Nuclear Power Station, and Clinton Lake. We provide fire, rescue and first responder medical services to our district. We also provide mutual aid to Kenney, Wapella, Waynesville, Weldon, Maroa and Forsyth.

Hickory Point Fire Protection District
Hickory Point Fire Protection District Welcome to Hickory Point Fire Prot. District
Hickory Point Fire Protection District was created in1955 by a group of citizens living north of Pershing Road, Decatur, Illinois and in the Village of Forsyth. At that time, fire protection did not exist in the area except through calling Decatur fire department or neighboring towns. The area north of Pershing Road was unincorporated, but beginning to experience subdivision development. The Village of Forsyth's population in the 1950s was less than 500. Today, the district includes the Village of Forsyth, parts of north Decatur, and parts of Hickory Point township. The resident population is approximately 5200 with a day time working and travelling population of more than 15,000. Steady residential and commercial growth has been the norm since the building of the Hickory Point mall in the late 1970s. The district sits at the intersection of U. S route 51 and Interstate 72. Farmland and a small number of working farms are included in the district.
Kacey Derbort Memorial Book Foundation Kacey was a young lady who lived here in rural Warrensburg. Her dad is a Decatur Police Officer and mom was a Paramedic with Decatur Ambulance Service. Both of her parents spent many hours volunteering for the fire department and gave graciously their time to the community and district. Her moms death followed by her passing was a tragic event to everyone who had the opportunity to know them both. We ask that you view this website, reach inside your hearts and let Kacey's memory be remembered by every child who recieves a book from her foundation. Heaven is shining down with two of its Angels from right here in the Warrensburg area.
Latham Fire Protection District
Long Creek Fire Protection District The Long Creek Fire Protection District was founded in 1961 and officially began providing protection for the district in September of that year. At that time the department owned one emergency vehicle, a 1952 gasoline tank truck that had been converted to a fire truck, it held 1,000 Gal. of water and had a portable pump mounted on the tail board. A pumper was on order and arrived shortly after taking over the district. This was a 1961 pumper with a 650 Gal. of water and a 750 GPM pump. The Long Creek Fire Prot. Dist. was formed as a completely volunteer department and covered 55 square miles of territory. This territory is a combination of rural and urban with mostly residential type buildings. We were completely volunteer until April of 1987 when a full time Chief was hired. As of 5-1-2009 the department will have 2 full time employee a Chief and a Deputy Chief, the rest of the members are still volunteer. In it's first full year of operation, (1962), the department answered 52 emergency calls. We have added equipment and emergency calls steadily since that time and today have 8 emergency response vehicles, see Apparatus, and in 2009 answered 451 emergency call.
